  • Art Programs are coordinated and sponsored or co-sponsored throughout the year by the Baton Rouge Chapter.  In an effort to promote the Arts, encourage and inspire youth in our adopted schools, the chapter brings  to several school-based visits by highly acclaimed, award-winning musicians along with the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.  These artists included Patti Austin, Carla Cook and Wess ‘Warmdaddy’ Anderson.  Each brought their unique style and love for music to school campuses throughout the school year.  Their performances covered the origins of Jazz, Gospel, Blues and African music.  The chapter also provided tickets for students to attend matinee performances.
  • Baton Rouge Chapter sponsored “Holiday Celebration of the Performing Arts” featuring the McKinley High School Performing Arts Department at Capitol Elementary.  The program was a combination piano, choral, and instrumental performances.  The chapter‘s financial donation is forwarded to McKinley’s Performing Arts Department.
